Always had a resident band every year Sunday was Concert Night, Saturday night dancing,
Friday night was local Talent night Tuesday was Party night was always something going on – the last band I can remember toward the end was the Dr Groot Orchestra.

The Spinto Band, the first of three groups to play at The Social that night.
Art Brut had a better stage presence (or at least fewer people to give attention to), but their music was not as good as that of TSB. The final band, We Are Scientists, was better than both (or it was merely the even greater volume, and the quantity of alcohol we all had by then imbibed).
And, never let Mary Ellen suggest a drink to you.
